IUGA Movie NightWHAT: Movie Night - The Social Network

We will also provide soda and popcorn IUGA, IEEE, HKN Game NightTo be hosted the 2nd Friday of spring quarter. We'll be using the Informatics school's gaming computers for some PC LAN action. Keep your ears peeled for more info! IEEE-Seattle Student Paper Contest -- 2011IEEE-Seattle hosts a yearly student paper and presentation contest for Seattle area schools. Students are given the opportunity to write a paper and present this paper to a board of IEEE-Seattle judges for a chance to win a cash prize for the top winner and the opportunity to advance to the IEEE northwest area paper contest. Topics covered by the paper and presentation can be anything related to engineering, from a paper on your capstone project to the importance of project management in a defense contract. IEEE-Seattle MicroMouse CompetitionEach year IEEE hosts an embedded, MicroMouse competition. The goal of MicroMouse is to build a robotic mouse that will autonomously solve a 16'x16' maze. The full rules and specifications for the competition can be found here. For all the digital EEs out here, this would be a great opportunity to put those skills forged in Professor Peckol's classes to the test! This year, there is a possibility that a local Seattle area competition will be held in April. If not this year, there will be a Seattle area contest next academic year. As of right now, UW IEEE is forming a MicroMouse team such that mouse construction can begin now. To be clear, there is no formulaic approach to solving this problem -- this is essentially your project, and your chance to shine! For the team UW IEEE needs the following:
